The modular robot cell ensures placing the workpiece on a clamping device, handling the clamping device and placing a tool into the machine tool’s spindle. The feeding of the workpieces is realised via the integrated palletising system pts6410 or pts 6480. The clamping devices can be prepared at the set-up station and the be machined continuously and efficiently.
HBi Robotics provides ideas and solutions for intelligent automation of manufacturing and machining processes. In cooperation with Vischer & Bolli GmbH a novelty on the market was designed: a comprehensive modular solution in a small place for the handling of pallets, workpieces and tools including clamping technology, suitable for the automated machining of workpieces up to 500 kg in small and medium-sized batches with pallet sizes up to 800 x 800 mm.

The simple and user-friendly operation and the modular design are the main characteristics of the robot cell. What is more, the robot installation convinces by providing great energy efficiency, a space-saving construction design, quick and simple changeover, a great diversity of parts, maintainability and quick on-site support. As an option, there are additional functions available, such as workpiece detection with a camera on the pallets and further customer-specific solutions.
Additional tool holders can be integrated via the robot cell to increase the number of tool holders in the machine, for example tool holders in special dimensions, which cannot be integrated directly via the machine.
Machines without rotary joints can also be automated. In this case, the fixtures will be opened and closed by the robot equipped with a torque driver. Connectivity is possible with all kinds of tool machines. Interfaces: Profinet, Profibus, Soflex control system or digital.
RFID CHIP FOR PALLET IDENTIFICATION
This chip can be integrated in changing pallets for identification purposes. A write and read device adjusts the current data. This always ensures that the machines and the robot receive the latest data and communicate flawlessly.
